enhance the Lake Express experience. Inside the two terminals are full-service Enterprise Rent-A-Car counters for passengers who choose to travel without their vehicles. One of the first passenger vessels and the only Great Lakes ferry to receive the Wisconsin Travel Green certification, the Lake Express continues to expand its pollution prevention practices. The ship also supports scientific studies of the health of Lake Michigan in partnership with the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences. Fares unchanged, specials for kids, motorcycles Fares for the 2015 season are unchanged from 2014 and the Lake Express has announced several special programs. As a 12th season celebration, the ferry service added a special rate for families traveling with children during the summer. Kids 5-17 will pay just $12 each way when accompanied by an adult. Children under five always ride free. The Lake Express also is continuing its motorcycle discount during spring and fall sailings. The fare for motorcycles during the two periods is only $12 each way, when accompanied by a paid adult passenger fare, saving cyclists $40 per crossing. Special Summer Saver fare offers are also available on the expanded summer schedule 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. sailings. spring schedule FROM MAY 1 THROUGH JUNE 30: Milwaukee to Muskegon 6 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Returning trips from Muskegon 10:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. The summer schedule from July 1-Sept. 7, offers sailings from Milwaukee at 6 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., with return trips at 10:15 a.m., 4:45 p.m. and a late- night sailing at 11 p.m. The fall schedule from Sept. 8 to Nov. 1 returns to the spring program of two trips daily from both the Milwaukee and Muskegon terminals.
