Mysteries of Cleopatra featured in outstanding exhibition at museum ONEOFHISTORY'Smostmysterious figures is the focus of a feature exhibition at theMilwaukee Public Museum, 800W.Wells St. Cleopatra: The Search for the LastQueen of Egypt, the firstU.S. tour of artifacts fromtwo ongoing searches into her life and times, runs throughApril 29 at themuseum. The exhibition features nearly 150 artifacts from Cleopatra's time and lets visitors experience the present-day search for the tomb of the elusive queen. The artifacts arewoven into the story of her rule and life, unfolded in a dramatic settingwith high-definitionmultimedia and original sound- scapes, including a complementary audio tour pro- vided every visitor. Organized byNationalGeographic andArts& Exhibitions International,with cooperation fromthe Egyptian Supreme Council ofAntiquities and the European Institute forUnderwaterArchaeology (IEASM), the exhibition features statuary, jewelry, daily items, coins and religious tokens that have been uncovered fromthe time surrounding Cleopatra's rule.
