EQUIPMENT FOCUS | Mower Tools, Parts, Attachments & Accessories B3C's Gasoline Test Kit The award-winning Gasoline Test Kit is the first complete fuel diagnostic kit that quickly identifies fuel-related problems. It in- cludes 7 easy fuel tests and allows the dealer to become the "expert" in fuel-related issues while providing a higher service level to the customer. The tests also provide third-party verification as to why a warranty should or should not be submitted to the manufacturer, helping resolve conflict while educating customers. The 7 fuel tests are as follows: 1) Gas Quality Test Swabs; 2) 2-Cycle Oil Indicator Test; 3) Diesel Fuel Quality Test; 4) 2- and 4-Cycle Gas Test; 5) Phase Separation Test; 6) Oil Quality Test; and 7) Bound Water Test. B3C Fuel Solutions LLC Grasshopper DriftBuster snowthrower The Grasshopper DriftBuster snowthrower allows users to clear snow efficiently from driveways, sidewalks and congested areas. Even in deep, heavy, wet snows, this maneuverable snowthrower delivers no-clog performance, with the combination of a high-speed auger, heavy-duty scraper blades and 180-degree discharge spout capable of throwing snow up to 30 feet. With the exclusive QuikConverter implement system, any Grasshopper FrontMount power unit can go from mowing to snow throw- ing in minutes without tools, and the short-coupled mounting system optimizes traction in wintry conditions. Efficiency may be enhanced even more with an optional Snow Performance Package, including electric lift and electric spout rotation with steer- ing lever-mounted joystick control. The Grasshopper Co. Gravely's ROPS-mounted sunshades Gravely offers ROPS-mounted sunshades for its Pro-Turn and Pro-Master series of mowers. The canopies provide operators with a degree of protection from both heat stress and skin damage from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. The risk of over- exposure to the sun has prompted some consumers to require a cover on their mowers. The sunshades are easily removable, making the mowers safe to move via trailer. Two models are available. The first fits all models of the Pro-Turn 100/200 series. The second fits all Pro-Master 200 series mowers, as well as the Rapid XZ. Gravely, an Ariens Co. POWERPLUS replacement belts POWERPLUS replacement belts are built for heavy-duty performance and long-term service. POWERPLUS belts provide a minimum of 15-percent more horsepower than conventional belt brands. In addition, POWERPLUS belts are as follows: designed to handle severe shock load; resistant to oil and heat; and available in a range of popular sizes (3/8-, 1/2- or 5/8-inch top widths and lengths of 21 inches or more). Plus, they are backed by a full warranty. HBD/Thermoid, Inc. Husqvarna's new DFS system for PZ mowers Husqvarna has introduced a "dump-from-seat" collection system for the Husqvarna PZ and Dixon DX200 commercial zero-turn mowers. The DFS system fits 54- and 60-inch cutting decks. It includes a 12-gauge-steel hopper and high-density polyethylene hood to provide long-lasting durability. The 11-bushel hopper has a convenient spring-assisted release handle, which is accessed from the seated position. Efficiency is increased by allowing the operator to remain on the machine during the removal of collected material. Husqvarna Professional Products, Inc. John Deere's 7Iron Mulch on Demand John Deere's 7Iron Mulch on Demand mower deck is stamped from 7-gauge steel, which requires 4 million pounds of force to create. Stamped decks minimize the number of welds and provide a smooth underside, with fewer sharp corners. The rounded corners help distribute impact stress and reduce potential damage if the deck should contact trees, rocks, curbs or other fixed objects. With a 5.5-inch depth, the deck is designed for excellent airflow so material can be processed quickly and efficiently. An 18-inch-wide discharge chute provides even clipping dispersal. Mulch on Demand gives the operator the ability to switch between mulching and side discharging with the simple pull or push of a lever. John Deere JRCO heavy-duty attachments JRCO Inc. manufactures a line of heavy-duty attachments for commercial mowers. All 7 front-mount products attach with clevis pins to the JRCO universal mount bar. The JRCO Tine Rake Dethatcher provides a quick spring green-up by removing embed- ded thatch and leaves, as well as combing up matted turfgrass while mowing. Flexible tines allow zero-turn maneuverability while raking. The JRCO Tine Rake Dethatcher is available in 36-, 46- and 60-inch widths. JRCO, Inc. Perkins Tier 4 Final emissions-compliant engines The Perkins 400F diesel engine, the latest addition to the company's 400 Series range, meets Tier 4 Final/Stage IIIB regula- tions, which come into force in January 2013 in the EPA above 19kW (25 hp.) and in the EU above 37kW (49.5 hp.). With more than 1 million engines sold and 2 billion 'first life' hours under its belt, the 400 Series can be described as a 'world' engine, having earned a reputation for reliability, performance and value for money. In keeping with its predecessors, the 400F meets the challenges facing today's turf and garden equipment manufacturers. Perkins Engines 24 OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT www.outdoorpowerequipment.com
