BLACKMER ® NP SERIES SLIDING VANE PUMPS Blackmer ® NP Series Sliding Vane Pumps have been designed to provide efficient transfer for a wide variety of bulk-storage operations, in applications such as loading and unloading, transfer, mixing and blending. The NP Series pumps can meet the needs of these demanding applications because they have been designed for the handling of clean, non-corrosive liquids at varying temperatures, pressures and vis- cosities. NP pumps offer maximum versatility while sustaining a high-level of performance and trouble-free operation. NP Series pumps are available in five sizes, with port sizes from 1.5 to 4-inch. They feature flow rates from 5 to 500 gpm (19 to 1,893 lpm) at operating temperatures up to 500°F (260°C). NP Series pumps feature Blackmer's revolutionary sliding-vane-technology principles, which guarantee consistent volumetric-output per- formance, even after significant in-service time. This eliminates the efficiency-robbing "slip" that shortens lobe and gear pump life, and improves production yields by stripping lines of residual product. Generates a unique, pulsed — and intrinsically safe — electrical signal that is transmitted to the sensors via a coiled cord and optic-format plug. When sensors on the transport are dry a signal is returned to the monitor. If the signal meets pre-determined characteristics the monitor goes to a "permis- sive" state, which changes the status light on the front of the 8100 Series Optic Rack Monitor from red ("non-permissive") to green ("permissive"). If the sensor becomes wet, the relay is opened and the status light changes from green to red (non-permissive), shutting down the loading pro- cess. The Model 8130 Optic Monitor with Ground Verification includes displayed status of the optic sensor ("permissive" or "non-permissive") and mode of operation. LMC specializes in providing automation systems for inbound/ outbound transfer security & accuracy, deliver- ing full accountability end to end. Maintenance and repairs of all types of bulk plant equip- ment including meter calibration is available as needed or contract basis. LMC inventories parts for a wide range of equipment found in typical modern bulk plant environments. Transport vehicles should be properly grounded before and during the loading opera- tion. There should never be any doubt that the grounding systems at your terminals are perform- ing their proper function. Many systems give you little assurance of their operation. The Scully Groundhog gives you complete assurance that a proper ground is present. The Scully Groundhog is a self-proving grounding system that monitors 20 OCTOBER 2015 | FUEL OIL NEWS | www.fueloilnews.com BULK PLANT A selection of companies' latest offerings
