Here's a look at search data on KBB.com from Jan. 1-Nov. 15, 2016. TOP 10 ON-ROAD MOTORCYCLES — ALL MODEL-YEARS There were seven sport and three touring motorcycles in the top 10 most-researched on- road motorcycles. All three of the tour- ing motorcycles on the list are Harley-Davidsons; two of those vehicles were FLHX Street Glide models. The 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250R, the sole motorcycle under 600cc on the list, saw the largest drop in KBB.com web hits among the bikes in this top 10 list at 19 percent. All of the sport bikes on this top 10 list received fewer KBB.com web hits for 2015 year-to-date than during the same time period in 2014. TOP 10 ON-ROAD MOTORCYCLES — 2015 MODEL-YEAR Harley-Davidson dominated the top 10 model- year 2015 on-road motorcycles list, garnering seven spots on the list, five of which were touring motorcycles, and two were from the standard/cruiser category. The remaining three spots on the list were taken by Japanese sport bikes, all of which are new introductions for model year 2015. The Harley-Davidson FLTRXS Road Glide Special, which took position No. 4 on the list, was also a new vehicle for model year 2015. TOP ON-ROAD MOTORCYCLES FROM THE TOP 10 MANUFACTURERS — ALL MODEL-YEARS This chart provides the most-researched motor- cycle for each of the top 10 most-researched on-road motorcycle manufacturers. The manu- facturers are listed in order of popularity on KBB.com. Sport motorcycles took six spots on the top on-road bikes by manufacturer list, while touring motorcycles held three positions. Only one motorcycle from the standard/cruiser cat- egory appeared on this list, the 2009 Ducati M696 Monster. Buell is the only top 10 most-researched manufacturer on KBB.com that is no longer in production. Buell also had the oldest No. 1 bike on this list with its 2001 Blast. The 2004 BMW R1150RT ABS was the most-researched BMW during the past year. It is the only other bike on this list that is more than 10 years old.
