Grasshopper debris handlers Grasshopper offers a turbine blower, a vacuum collection system and 3 rotary brooms. The PTO-driven Grasshopper Turbine Blower (pictured) generates hurricane-strength air velocity to clear leaves, debris and even fallen branches. With Grasshopper's True ZeroTurn handling and a nozzle that rotates a full 360 degrees, the blower allows operators to precisely and effortlessly move the largest debris pile. The easy-to-install, deck-driven Grasshopper PowerVac collection system quickly removes leaves and debris and uses a trash-ingesting steel impeller that chops and compacts virtually anything without clogging or bridging, leaving behind a professional, finished look. PTO-driven Grasshopper CleanSweep rotary brooms, available in 48- and 60-inch fixed-angle and 60-inch bi-directional models, sweep dirt and debris, and can clean up to 8 inches of snow right down to the pavement. Gravely debris-handling equipment Gravely offers a variety of debris-handling equipment, including 3 Hurricane Plus walk-behind blowers (pictured), an All Purpose Vacuum (APV) and a Trailette lawn sweeper. The walk-behind blowers offer easy debris cleanup with no back or arm strain. They are available with a 169-, 265- or 404-cc Subaru overhead cam engine, which provides exceptional power (1,149-, 1,642- or 2,692-cfm air volume, respectively) with less noise and convenient 1-pull starting. The Gravely APV is designed to pick up plastic and glass bottles, leaves, twigs, cans and other debris on hard or turf surfaces. Standard features of the APV include on-board hose, 6.75-hp./190-cc Briggs & Stratton engine, and foldable handles for easy storage. The Trailette is a tow-behind lawn sweeper with a 36-inch sweeping width and 10-cubic-foot capacity. Husqvarna 580 backpack blower The new Husqvarna 580 is an extremely powerful commercial backpack blower. The design of this blower is solely focused on maximizing the amount of air coming into the blower and the force of air exiting the unit. The blow force starts with the commercial-grade 75.6-cc 2-cycle X-Torq engine that delivers the power needed to maximize airflow. The engine is supported by a blow-molded frame that is designed to withstand even the most unforgiving conditions. The frame features side air vents to not only enhance airflow, but also to help keep the operator cool during long periods of operation. The 580 also has a top-mounted air filtration system with a 2-stage air filter and snap-lock cover clips for easy maintenance access. Jonsered BB 2250 backpack blower The Jonsered BB 2250 is a mid-range, commercial-duty, backpack blower, which is suitable for landscapers and property owners. The unit is powered by a 50-cc low-emission CleanPower engine and offers quiet operation and long run time. The harness has wide, padded straps and is designed to provide good lower-back support. The backrest is also fan ventilated for greater operator comfort. Controls are mounted on the tube handle. The BB 2250 comes with round and fan nozzles. Additional features include easy fueling access and a stable platform base for ground starting. JRCO Blower Buggy Carrier The JRCO Blower Buggy Carrier holds walk-behind blowers on the front of zero-turn mowers. The blower buggy now has a new caster for greater maneuverability and durability. A walk-behind blower may be quickly attached to the carrier with just 3 straps. The carrier attaches to the JRCO universal mount bar. Kawasaki KRH300A handheld blower Cleanup of grass clippings, leaves and hedge trimmings can be finished quickly and easily with the Kawasaki KRH300A. This handheld blower is lightweight and easy to maneuver, but boasts a 450-cfm airflow volume for efficient cleanup. Kawasaki's TJ27E 26.3-cc engine features an advanced 2-barrel carburetor design that buffers in fresh air between the intake and exhaust cycle to reduce unburned fuel and increase combustion efficiency. This exclusive Kawasaki Air/Fuel (A/F) Technology design incorporates an exhaust system catalyst converter that helps improve fuel efficiency by up to 25 percent and cut exhaust emissions. The engine design also incorporates an "enrichment" starting system that replaces the standard choke and essentially eliminates the chance of flooding the engine at startup. LawnShark LTL-32 The LawnShark LTL-32 is an extremely effective, high-performance, litter and leaf 2-stage vacuum collection system that saves time and decreases labor, essentially eliminating the antiquated and time-consuming process of raking. The LawnShark's new technology hinges on cyclonic suction, combined with counter-rotating brushes under the main deck that provide a 32-inch clearing width. The LawnShark LTL-32 has been tailored for the residential customer and for light commercial use to fit within a 36-inch gate. The labor savings inherent with the use of the LawnShark is a big benefit. OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT MAY 2012 27
