Aged for more than 10 years, the 80-proof light rum has a deep woodiness, mingled with tannins and sweeter notes, the com- pany says, with aromas of heavy oak bouquet, leather and dried fruit. This launch is the first of a planned series of single-barrel aged rum releases. It's priced at $39.99 for a 750-ml. bottle. King of Scots is a premium blended scotch whisky from Douglas Laing's. The nose opens with toffee and spices, the company says, developing to a fresh and citrusy quality before a licorice character appears. Initially on the palate there is a sweet, ripe fruit quality than runs to toffee, a distinctly vanilla style that carries through to a sweet and spicy finish. King of Scots Blended Scotch Whisky is aged in oak casks for three years, and retails for $29.99 per 750-ml. bottle. Crown Royal has introduced the Noble Collection Cornerstone Blend, a new line that will annually release limited-batch whiskies. The first expression, 80.6 proof, showcases three whiskies: a spicy Canadian rye, a creamy coffey-still whisky and a bourbon-style whisky matured in charred American white oak. Cornerstone Blend has a nose of cherry pie, baking spice and toasted oak, the company says, and flavors of sweet red apples ands oaky spice with a slight tartness for balance. The suggested retail price is $59.99 per 750-ml. bottle. Truly Spiked & Sparkling is a new alcoholic sparkling water with 100 calories and 2 grams of carbs per serving. Truly Spiked & Sparkling is 5% ABV and offered in three flavors: Colima Lime, Grapefruit & Pomelo, and Pomegranate. Truly Spiked & Sparkling is available in 6-packs for a suggested retail price of $9.99-$10.99 (price varies by location). Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has added two new flavors: Rebel Yell Ginger Whiskey and Rebel Yell Root Beer Whiskey. Both bottled at 70 proof, with a suggested retail price of $16.99 to $19.99.
