Applefest
Visitors can crank the corn
sheller, grind and press apples
for cider, ride the orchard bar-
rel train and join square danc-
ing in the barn at Applefest on
Oct. 2 from 1-4pm.
Also on display are pioneer
homes, barns, and school as
well as military history, vol-
unteer fire and police depart-
ment history and New Berlin's
agricultural past.
Every family's favorite part
is going home with Weston's
Heirloom apples or honey
from the beekeeper.

Fall Into Grafton
Fall Into Grafton on Oct. 7-8
is a free festival that truly has
something for everyone, from
an Oktoberfest Beer Garden to
PumpkinCross Bike Races to
the 9th Annual PumpkinFest.
Friday events include a
pumpkin lighting at 7pm and
Oktoberfest Beer Garden at
Paramount Plaza, located
in downtown Grafton, from
5-9pm. Tapping of the Keg is
at 6pm. The Beer Garden con-
tinues 5-9pm on Saturday. For

Family-friendly activities on
Saturday include a pancake
breakfast and 10am-4pm
PumpkinFest activities. The
fun includes a scavenger hunt,
kids entertainment galore and
a photo booth. On the pump-
kin side, there is pumpkin
painting and themed games.
Grafton PumpkinCross Su-
percup Bike Races (bit.ly/2d-
8mvmy) are 9am-5pm Satur-
day at Lime Kiln Park, 2020 S.
Green Bay Rd. Fabled among
"cyclo-cross" racers, the course
involves a "big climb, slalom
descent, gravel and more."
Food and drinks will be
available for purchase. Grafton
is located 20 minutes north
of downtown Milwaukee.
