IDA MOVERS AND SHAKERS Robert W. McIntyre Joins Wegman, Hessler & Vanderburg From its inception in 1968, Wegman, Hessler & Vanderburg (WH&V), located in Cleveland, Ohio, has been committed to meeting the needs of its clients, whether they are small, locally- owned businesses, individuals, or large, international compa- nies. For more than 40 years, the fi rm has served as both litiga- tion and corporate counsel to manufacturers, distributors and retailers, ensuring that the legal needs of its clients are met by providing services of the highest quality and value. Th ey deal with competitors, dealers, distributors, suppliers and consumers. Th e fi rm's extensive litiga- tion practice enables it to serve clients in Ohio and throughout the United States. WH&V's litiga- tion attorneys represent clients in a broad range of matters, from shareholder disputes to lawsuits involving the protection of intel- lectual property rights. And, the fi rm's expertise in defending product liability claims has proven to be invaluable for clients in the manufacturing sector. WH&V attorneys have successfully handled serious injury and death cases throughout the country, involving products from outdoor power equipment of all types, to furnaces, boilers, and electrical appliances and tools to industrial machines, such as punch presses, saws, and conveyors. And, they have appeared before the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, implementing voluntary recalls and assisting companies through the Fast-Track Recall Notice process and imple- menting nationwide corrective action programs. Further, in an eff ort to ensure that all of the business and litiga- tion needs of a client are met, WH&V emphasizes an interdis- ciplinary collaboration among its attorneys. For instance, while attorneys in the fi rm's Intellectual Property Group are experienced in and responsible for the protec- tion and enforcement of patents, trademarks and copyrights in the United States and foreign countries for its clients, they also work in close cooperation with attorneys in other practice areas, such as com- mercial transactions and litigation. Likewise, the collaborative approach provides the fi rm's litigation attorneys with an understanding and appreciation of the business interests that may be aff ected by litigation.
