Resurrected 379
Wayne Proudfoot, owner of Mokay Trucking
and operating under Proudfoot Trucking of
Philippi, West Virginia, pulls mainly flatbed
and step deck freight on the East Coast.
He found this 1995 Peterbilt 379 extended
hood "in the weeds," where it sat for
three years before he bought it. The truck,
now named "Cheyenne," is powered by a
Caterpillar 3406E with a 10-speed and 3:55
rears. Proudfoot plans to lower the front
end, change out the visor and bumper and
add a 48-inch flattop sleeper.
