EQUIPMENT FOCUS | Commercial Walk-behind & Stand-on Mowers Allen Hover Mowers The Allen Hover Mower line features 3 machines with different width sizes — 16, 18 and 21 inches. All Allen Hover Mowers are powered by 4-stroke Honda engines and feature a variety of blade options. These machines are designed for slope mowing — lake/ pond banks, hillsides, mounds and drainage areas. In addition, they are ideal for mowing under obstructions at RV parks, in parking lots, etc. Height of cut ranges from as low as a 1/2-inch up to 3-1/2 inches (with Hi-Rise Kit). Allen Hover Mowers/Seago International, Inc. Billy Goat HomePro 3400 The Billy Goat HomePro 3400 has a deep, 34-inch-wide, fabricated deck to deliver a professional striped-yard look in less than half the time of 21-inch mowers. The baffled 2-blade deck requires no timing belts — unlike other units on the market — and does a nice job of clearing cut grass. Simple front and rear height adjustment offers fast changing for seasonal cut needs. The HomePro has only 1 drive belt and 1 cut belt plus an integrated blade brake clutch for ease of service. Along with an extended oil drain for clean, quick oil changes, maintenance is never a chore. The HomePro 3400 is a space-saver, too; it's the same length as most 21-inch mowers and fits easily in a garage or shed, as well as on trailers. An optional large-capacity grass catcher is simple to attach and easy to dump. Billy Goat Industries BOB-CAT commercial walk-behind mowers BOB-CAT commercial walk-behind mowers offer fuel systems that meet EPA exhaust and evaporative emission requirements. Compliance aside, beyond the tank, these mowers have many features that enhance user comfort and productivity with a choice of drive systems to fit user preference. The BOB-CAT Classic Pro gear-drive units come with a 32-, 36- or 48-inch side-discharge deck; a 16-hp. Kawasaki FS engine; heavy-duty zero-maintenance sealed spindles; Peerless 700 gear drive; heavy-duty electric clutch; adjustable rear axle; and optional bagging and mulching capabilities. The BOB-CAT Hydro units offer a 36-, 48- or 54-inch side- discharge deck; easy-to-use SoftGrip fingertip controls; and dual hydraulic pumps with wheel motors. The Hydro Z-Control is essentially the Hydro unit with a patented Z-Control operation system that is easy to use and comfortable to operate. BOB-CAT/Schiller Grounds Care, Inc. DR Power's PRO-XL field and brush mower Equipped with an 18.5-hp. Kawasaki V-Twin engine, 26-inch deck and self-propelled drive, the PRO-XL is DR Power's most powerful walk-behind brush cutter. A 6-pound steel blade slashes through the thickest brush, including saplings up to 3 inches in diameter, 6-foot-high grass, and 8-foot-high weeds and brush. Side-discharge chute quickly ejects cut material, so there's no bogging down or getting stuck in wet conditions. For excellent traction on uneven terrain, the PRO-XL has a lockable differential. A full-pressure oil pump makes the PRO-XL an ideal choice for mowing on slopes. It is available with a 30-inch deck. DR Power Equipment, a division of Country Home Products, Inc. Gravely's new Pro-Stance series mowers Gravely announces the addition of the new commercial Pro-Stance series to its line of stand-on mowers. With patent-pending features, including integrated transmissions, a dial height-of-cut and foot pedal deck lift, the Pro-Stance provides enhanced productivity and a comfortable operator experience. "We're very excited to introduce this uniquely featured mower into the growing stand-on market," said Brian Anundsen, commercial and turf product marketing manager for Ariens Company. "The patent-pending features are the result of gathering feedback from landscape contractors and incorporating innovations no other manufacturer has offered up to this point. The Pro-Stance was a true ground-up design for Gravely, so it really stands out from our current stand-on and others in the market." Gravely, an Ariens Co. Honda HRC Commercial Series The Honda HRC Commercial Series offers 2 models: the self-propelled, hydrostatic-drive HRC216K3HXA and push-type HRC216K3PDA. The performance of the Honda HRC Commercial Series is enhanced by offering Honda's exclusive MicroCut twin- blade mulching technology. In addition, the push model HRC216K3PDA is powered by Honda's GSV160 overhead cam (OHC) engine, while the self-propelled HRC216K3HXA (pictured) utilizes Honda's GXV160 engine. Both engines boast all-aluminum construction and a cast-iron cylinder sleeve. Standard features of both mowers include a dome-shaped deck design, which facilitates both bagging and mulching while delivering finer clipping particles; offset twin-blade MicroCut System (only 2-blade 21-inch commercial mowers); front bumper for deck and engine protection, as well as convenient transport tie down; and durable, lightweight, 9-inch NeXite wheels with axle protectors. Honda Power Equipment Husqvarna WH Series With high productivity and precision control, the Husqvarna WH Series of hydro commercial walk-behind mowers boasts an intuitive pistol-style user interface that ensures complete control with minimal hand movement. A Kanzaki tandem-style 10-cc pump with independent Parker wheel motors delivers premium performance for walking or riding behind the mower. The WH4817 is available with either a fixed or floating deck. Balance and weight distribution for hill holding and curb jumping are optimized and structural components reinforced to provide solid performance. Additional convenience features include flip-up belt deck cover, single-point tracking adjustment knob and pull-from-rear starting.
