Be safe and brrrave the winter with these tips Safe sledding Watch out for ice Dress appropriately Avoid hills that lead to streets, ponds, lakes and streams. Assume that all wet, dark areas on pavements are slippery and icy, and approach with caution. Wear a hat, scarf or mask, sleeves that are snug at the wrist, mittens, waterresistant coat and shoes, and layers of loose-fitting clothing. Choose a hill that's free from obstacles like trees. Don't sled alone. Don't wear shoes with smooth soles or heels. Wear shoes or boots with non-slip rubber or neoprene with grooved soles for the best traction. To read more tips or to listen to a podcast, visit coxhealth.com and search "winter safety." Walk in designated walkways. Thank you for passing HealthSense to your friends and neighbors.
