CUSTOM RIGS The Untouchable K enny Yeary of Weatherford, Texas, bought his 2010 Kenworth W900 new in 2009. With design help from his son, Gary, and son-in-law, Jimmy Wiley, they decided to haul the truck to a fab shop for a frame-up custom job. Yeary took his familydrawn ideas to 4 State Trucks in Joplin, Mo., with the goal of turning it into "something that looked nice but still looked like a truck," says his wife, Tuffy, who says the truck works daily hauling frac sand. Yeary's initials, along with the truck's name –The Untouchable – are engraved or shown in metal emblems in various places, including the floor under the sleeper door, the rear bumper and the back of the sleeper on the truck's exterior. For the full story on Yeary's truck and to see more photos, visit OverdriveOnline.com/ yeary. The truck's exterior paint scheme was carried into the cab and sleeper, where the floor, dashboard and steering wheel are painted to match. The sleeper also has a 21-inch TV, DVD player and black leather upholstery. The working truck's moniker, The Untouchable, has become something of a family joke, says Kenny Yeary, but he still does his best to keep it looking clean and unscathed. 4 State Trucks painted it with the Seminole paint scheme in blue, black and yellow. 54 | Overdrive | June 2013 CR_Opening Page_0613.indd 54 5/28/13 9:52 PM
