The Flowing Well Since 1895 Visitors come from miles around to quench their thirst at the refreshing Artesian well located two miles south on Clover Valley Road in the Town of Whitewater. The water is free and has been flowing steadily since 1895. Whitewater Historical Walking and Driving Tours Revel in the architecture of the late 1800's and transport yourself back in time. Take a walk down streets named after the pioneers of business and community or take a drive on one of many scenic roads in the area. Maps are available at the Chamber office. Kettle Moraine State Forest The glacial topography of the Kettle Moraine is distinctive. It features parallel, steep sided ridges, conical hills, kettle-like depressions and flat out-wash plains. The Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest covers 21,000 acres stretching through southern Wisconsin. It attracts thousands of visitors to bike, swim, camp, study nature, hike, horseback ride, ski, hunt, fish and enjoy outdoor recreation. Additional Recreation By water, land or by air, there are always things to do and see in Whitewater. The Minneiska Ski Team performs free ski shows on the south shore of Whitewater Lake (off of Townline Road), Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. throughout the summer. Public and private golf courses are available in the Whitewater area. Some people call Whitewater the Hang Gliding Capitol of the Midwest.
