"
We have people battle
to see who can help
customers on Satur-
days. It would absolutely fl oor
you [to see it]. People volun-
teer to work overtime."
Speaking about his
business' nomination for
the Truck Parts
& Service
Distributor of the Year award,
Edward Neeley, president at
Truck Supply Co. of South
Carolina, is quick to gush
about his employees.
He says they simply love
what they do; and volunteer-
ing to work overtime is proof
of that. "We just really enjoy
working to service our cus-
tomers," he says.
For someone who didn't
begin his career in the
aftermarket, Neeley says he
now can't imagine working
anywhere else.
Edward Neeley entered the
aftermarket a little more than
a decade ago when a business
deal left him in possession
of a truck parts distribution
facility. Knowing little about
the market but plenty about
customer service and sales,
Neeley set out to mold his
new company as a customer-
focused operation with one
simple rule: to give customers
"what they want when they
need it — not when we want
to give it to them."
