" We have people battle to see who can help customers on Satur- days. It would absolutely fl oor you [to see it]. People volun- teer to work overtime." Speaking about his business' nomination for the Truck Parts & Service Distributor of the Year award, Edward Neeley, president at Truck Supply Co. of South Carolina, is quick to gush about his employees. He says they simply love what they do; and volunteer- ing to work overtime is proof of that. "We just really enjoy working to service our cus- tomers," he says. For someone who didn't begin his career in the aftermarket, Neeley says he now can't imagine working anywhere else. Edward Neeley entered the aftermarket a little more than a decade ago when a business deal left him in possession of a truck parts distribution facility. Knowing little about the market but plenty about customer service and sales, Neeley set out to mold his new company as a customer- focused operation with one simple rule: to give customers "what they want when they need it — not when we want to give it to them."
