Red hot
Owner-operator Ryan Frostman of Iron River, Wis.,
drives this 2014 Western Star 4700 equipped with a
Detroit DD13 engine and an eight-speed transmission.
Frostman hauls sand, gravel and demolition materials
with the still-nameless rig; he's trying to think of the
perfect moniker for it. Frostman enjoys listening to
Sirius XM NASCAR Radio while hauling loads.
Picture perfect
Owner-operator Dale Burke of Strongsville, Ohio, took this picture
of his rig while at a show at the Hilton at Universal Studios, Fla.
Burke is leased to Landstar and hauls equipment for shows with
the 1999 Kenworth, which is powered by a Cummins N14 engine and
a 13-speed transmission. Burke says when he purchased the rig, it
had a regular factory look, but he made the truck his own with a
fresh paint job and striping. Burke used to do photography, and he
still enjoys snapping a good picture of his truck.
