PRO PERFORMER P rofessional Werner driver Charley Endorf, of Fairbury, Neb., has been selected as a recipient of the 2014 Citizen Driver Award. e award pro- gram, presented by Travel Centers of America/Petro, recognizes professional long-haul drivers who inspire public respect and admiration for the truck driving profession. "I was so honored to be nominated by my Werner team, and I will do my best as a winner to uphold the distinction and rep- resent my company and industry," Endorf said. "I give a lot of credit to my wife, Kay, and thank TA/Petro for this award." Endorf was recognized for his exemplary citizenship in the driving community, personal and professional leadership, com- munity involvement and commitment to lead a healthy lifestyle. He was honored at a special event at the 2014 Mid-America Trucking Show, being held May 27-29 in Louisville, Ky. Among other recognition and distinc- tions, Endorf will be the guest of honor May 17 in York, Neb., when a truck stop bearing his name will be unveiled. A Wer- ner driver and owner operator since 1976, Endorf has driven more than 5 million safe driving miles, the only Werner driver to achieve this milestone.
