New Products & Packaging x Brown-Forman has launched a taller, slim- mer bottle and simplified label for its iconic Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. The new packaging for Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 highlights the bottle’s square shoulders, while the label has fewer words on it. The whiskey inside, however, is still the same, the company said. x Orient Apple is the latest flavor avail- able from Absolut Vodka. The new flavor combines the taste of apples with tangy ginger, with no sugar or artifi- cial flavors. It joins the thirteen other Absolut flavors to complement the origi- nal vodka. It jas a suggested retail of $20 for a 750 ml. bottle. x Wild Turkey 81 is now available from Skyy Spirits. The Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is com- posed primarily of six, seven and eight year old whiskies and features the first package change to the Wild Turkey family in nearly 15 years with a label makeover. The new Bourbon is available for a suggested retail price of $19.99 for a 750-ml. bottle. x The Food Network and California’s Wente Vineyards have partnered to co-create a new line of vari- etal wines called “entwine.” Entwine is slated to debut nationally in August featur- ing four varietals - Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay – all for a suggested retail price of $12.99. Easily approachable wines, entwine was created to be a portfolio of wine that complements and enhances a variety of foods. There will be a full-scale mar- keting effort accompanying the launch including in-store promotional and merchandising support. x Courvoisier Rosé is the newest offering from Beam Global Spirits & Wine. A blend of Courvoisier cognac and French red wine grapes, the product features notes of blackber- ry, black currant, cherry, vanilla, honey and vine peach flavors, according to the compa- ny. The 36 proof Courvoisier Rosé is avail- able for a suggested retail price of $24.99 for a 750-ml. bottle. x Sidney Frank Importing Co. has released its new American Harvest Organic Spirit, which is identified as an organic vodka that also includes a proprietary blend of additional organic ingredients, meant to provide a distinctive taste to the product. American Harvest is distilled and bottled in Rigby, ID, and it is handcrafted in small batch- es from organic winter wheat.
