AGGREGATES MANAGER September 2014 8 Powerful digging JCB's new JS300 crawler excavator replaces the JS290 and offers po- tential fuel savings of up to 4 percent. Powered by a six-cylinder Tier 4 interim Isuzu engine, the unit has 216 horsepower. The engine drives a twin variable-displacement pump hydraulic system, controlled by JCB's SMART Control work mode that automatically adjusts the working mode as the operator increases the engine rpm. JCB says it retains class-leading breakout and lifting forces, and a new tipping ge- ometry provides an increased vertical wall digging depth. JCB | www.jcb.com First SCR dozers Case Construction Equipment introduces its M Series of dozers. The line includes five models ranging from 92 to 214 net horsepower. Key features include what Case de- scribes as best-in-class drawbar pull, increased horsepower ratings, the first selective catalytic reduction technology built into a dozer, fuel savings of up to 14 percent, industry- leading visibility, new versatile controls, and a pressurized cab for comfort. Case Construction Equipment | www.case.ce.com Lighter mobile jaw plants Kleemann's new mobile jaw crushers, the Mobicat MC 110Ri EVO and MC 110 Zi EVO were completely redesigned with lighter trans- portation weights for improved portability. They weigh in at 85,000 pounds and 87,100 pounds, respectively. The MC 110Ri EVO has a vibratory feeder with integrated grizzly, while the MC 110Zi EVO incorporates a vibratory feeder with an independent double-deck pre-screen. Both feature a crusher inlet of 28 by 44 inches. Small and medium gradations bypass the crusher, which reduces wear, while a side discharge conveyor allows fines to be discharged, resulting in bet- ter end product. Kleemann | www.wirtgenamerica.com Rugged duty breaker Breaker Technology Inc.'s (BTI) BXR 185 is a 15,400-pound breaker that delivers 18,500 foot-pounds of impact energy. The unit offers an extra-long- stroke balanced piston design to im- prove the power-to-weight ratio. The large cross-section upper and lower shock-absorbing isolators reduce vi- bration feedback to the carrier. BTI's exclusive front head restraint system guides the front head within the hous- ing, reducing loading to the tie rods and the upper portion of the breaker. BTI | www.rockbreaker.com Computer- modeled crushing Sandvik Construction rolls out Optiagg, a cone-crush- ing package that includes computer modeling and analysis, a redesigned mantle, a concave ring, and other spare parts. The system works with its CH430, CH440, and CH660 cones. Through computer modeling, the optimal configuration and setup is determined so the chamber setup can be fine-tuned to the desired output. Wear and tear on the mantle and concave ring are also reduced. Sandvik Construction | www.sandvik.com Text INFO to 205-289-3782, or visit aggman.com/info.
