National Catholic Forester 4 Excited for 2015 As a child I thought reaching the year 2000, would be so futuristic, and I remember thinking, "Wow, I'll be 47 in 2000, I doubt I live to see it", but I did. There was the scare of 2000 being perhaps the end of the world and all the computer concerns about systems rolling from 1999 into 2000. People were really scared at the time, but here we are in the year 2015. I am excited about 2015 for many reasons; sales are up tremendously and in 2015 we should be able to turn the tide and have more new members than death claims, which means membership JURZWKIRUWKHŅUVWWLPHLQGHFDGHV At our convention we introduced a QHZDPD]LQJIUDWHUQDOEHQHŅWFDOOHG Ultimate Assurance, and in 2015 we will be purchasing a new software administration system. We are positioned to accomplish abundant growth. Growth in life sales has already started in 2014; life sales went from 107 in 2013 to over 500 in 2014. Our total life premium in 2013 was $48,000 and in 2014 it was over $500,000. Over a half a million!! – a feat that appears to have never been done in NCSF history. We are thrilled with the direction our life sales have gone. But you may be missing out on a great opportunity; check out our ad about our annuity portfolio on page 9; it is hard to beat. Don't leave money in CD's with you being taxed on your interest, our annuities are tax deferred. From an operations standpoint, things are really improving; morale continues to improve, we have the state department of insurance doing a "target exam" and everything is going well with that. I have told them we want complete transparency in our operations. The +RPH2IŅFHHQMR\HGFHOHEUDWLQJWKH holidays together with our Thanksgiving luncheon and Christmas celebration. Your Board of Directors is ready to move forward, committees have been established to provide oversight to our Society. What we need is more new members and you can be a big part of making that happen. Tell others about our outstanding portfolio of products and don't forget about our referral bonus program, if you have forgotten about it, just give me a call. Now that the holidays have past, it is time for us to move forward into 2015. I hope your holidays were a time to celebrate your faith and the gift of family, I pray that God bless you and NCSF in 2015, with good health and prosperity. Fraternally, JAY SCHENK FIC, CSA, CFFM EXECUTIVE VP from your EXECUTIVE VP... 4 about costs and the various ways to cover expenses. We will bury our parents and worry about being a burden to our own children when it is our time to leave this life. "Gen X" folks are in their career years and might have relied on their employer to provide life insurance benefits, but perhaps they lost those benefits during the lay-offs of the recent economic downturn. This provides another opportunity for a conversation about NCSF and easing the concerns about those lost employee benefits. "Millennials" are our young adults who are just finished with high school, may be in the college years and possibly are mostly concerned about school debt and the expenses involved with getting started with a career, family, car payments, etc. They, too, need the assurance provided by our products. With using data to help us focus our efforts and with prayer to guide us, we will find ways to reach Catholics of all ages and show them how membership in our society can benefit them in spiritual, social and practical ways. Please help us spread the word; with renewed spirit, there will be new life.
