When operating in the machine's Eco Mode there can be up to an 8 percent decrease in fuel consump- tion. The E35i model can also be equipped with the optional extendable arm, which is a telescoping arm that provides the best of both worlds — power and reach. The extendable arm option provides additional reach beyond the standard arm, and allows for the use of a hydraulic clamp, something not possible with any other compact excavator extendable arm on the market. The clamp capability is an ideal solution for contractors wanting to pick up and place material such as rocks, land- scaping materials and debris in site prepara- tion applications. CASE N SERIES BACKHOES CASE Construction Equipment introduced its line of Tier 4 Final backhoe loaders, includ- ing the new 580N EP. All CASE N Series backhoes come standard with SiteWatch telematics, and can be outfitted with a variety of industry-exclusive standards/options such as Power Lift, Ride Control, Comfort Steer, ProControl, Easy Flex side lights and a mechanical universal backhoe bucket coupler that allows contractors to use attachments from competitive machines on their CASE backhoe. Each machine is also available in the proven CASE Extendahoe configuration for extended digging and reach capabilities. At 74 horsepower — and with a backhoe bucket breakout force of 11,517 pounds, backhoe lift capacity of 2,858 pounds, and peak torque of 233 foot-pounds — the 580N EP provides ample power and performance while still keeping fuel, maintenance, and owning and operating costs low. CAT F2 SERIES BACKHOE LOADERS The new F2 Series Cat backhoe loaders includes the 416F2, 420F2, 430F2, and a model new to the range, the 415F2. The new F2 Series center-pivot models build on the solid performance, reliability, and durability of their F Series predecessors with engines that meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards, new operator's station, and added features and options that further enhance performance and operator productivity. The 420F2 and 430F2 continue to be available with both single-tilt and Integrated Tool Carrier (IT) front linkage, and four-wheel drive is standard for the 430F2 and available for other models. The 415F2 uses a Cat C3.4B engine, rated at 68 net horsepower, and the 416F2, 420F2, and 430F2 use the Cat C4.4 ACERT engine, with net-horsepower ratings (SAE J1349) of 87, 93, and 108, respectively. The 415F2 does not require diesel exhaust fluid, a convenience for buyers such as rental firms and governmental agencies. JCB 3CX JCB's popular entry-level 3CX, a 14-foot full- size backhoe loader, is now being built at the firm's U.S. headquarters in Savannah, Ga., allowing the company to react rapidly to North American customer demands. The U.S.-built machine boasts a class-leading 13,063-pound loader breakout force and 6,354 lbf loader lift capacity to its full height. The excavator bucket has a 13,942-pound breakout force. It is powered by a JCB Ecomax Tier 4 Final engine delivering 74 hp. This highly efficient power plant has no requirement for a costly Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) or any form of exhaust after-treatment, reducing operating costs for customers and simplifying on-site operation. The JCB Ecomax engine has been designed to achieve Tier 4F emissions regulations through efficient combustion, the use of second-generation common rail fuel injection technology, cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and sophisticated electronic control. The JCB 3CX comes standard with daily fluid auto-checks and JCB Livelink telematics.
