SPECIAL SECTION SNOW AND ICE MANAGEMENT EQUIPMENT 30 October 2015 Landscape and Irrigation www.landscapeirrigation.com JCB 280 skid-steer With a 2,800-pound operating capacity and an 84-hp. engine, JCB's 280 skid-steer loader com- bines strength and performance into one heavy-duty, vertical-lift machine. Its "Powerboom" design improves visibility by 60 percent, and makes it easier and safer to enter and exit the machine — especially important during snow removal. JCB skid-steers are compatible with 30 attachment families, including snow buckets and snow pushers, for optimum versatility all year round. Switching attachments is a snap thanks to a standard universal mechanical hitch or an optional hydraulic quick hitch. Enjoy full servo control with either standard (3-way) joysticks or multifunctional (7-way) joysticks. Three cab configurations are available: open canopy, cab with heat and cab with heat and factory-installed air conditioning. John Deere Snow Pusher Quickly and efficiently remove large accumulations of snow from sidewalks, parking lots and drive- ways with the John Deere Snow Pusher. Designed with reversible and replaceable rubber cutting edges, the Snow Pusher can create paths ranging from 2,438-mm (96 inches) to 3048-mm (120 inches), depending on the model. The optional pullback edge is ideal for opening confined areas and working around vehicles, buildings, fences, and other obstructions. The Snow Pusher is available in two models, the SP8 (8-foot width) and SP10 (10-foot width). Kubota snowblowers for the Grand L60 Series Kubota's snowblowers are made to let operators power through the winter drifts with ease, with rear- and front-mounted models to make efficient work out of any winter chore. Both snowblowers, for Kubota's Grand L60 Series, are 2-stage and feature replaceable, reversible cutting edges for maximum productivity. Options for front and rear models include hydraulic or electric chute deflectors to keep snow where it's supposed to be: out of your way. The rear-mounted model is available in 64- and 74-inch cutting widths, with optional manual or hydraulic chute rotation kit. Kubota's front- mounted snowblower features a mid PTO drive system and is available in 62-, 72-, 74- and 80-inch cutting widths. It features a front implement system utilizing a single quick hitch and subframe, with standard hydraulic chute rotation. Toro Power Broom Toro's 36-inch Power Broom is a powerful rotary broom that features a durable construction while delivering precise control to its operator. Ideal for both snow and debris removal applications, the Toro Power Broom is a useful machine year-round. Additionally, the Power Broom features the same familiar controls found on most snow throwers, making even novice operators highly productive. The Toro Power Broom is equipped with a Kohler 208cc Command Pro Multi Season engine that delivers 200 rpm to the broom head. The variable speed, shift on-the-fly transmission has six forward and two reverse positions, making it easy to set the appropriate speed for the job. This unit also features patented power steering that reduces operator fatigue. The wheels can be disengaged independently or simultaneously with trigger controls to make turning, reversing and steering easy. Western Striker stainless-steel hopper spreader The Western Striker hopper spreader is built with rust-resistant, low-maintenance stainless steel that is reinforced with wrap-around welded joints for durability. Designed to minimize waste and maximize profits, the Striker spreader features an innovative chute design that directs de-icing mate- rial out and away from the truck. A circular shutter deflector allows a one-sided, targeted spreading operation and prevents materials from being spread to unintended areas. Enhanced dual variable- speed control lets you match material delivery and spread patterns to all snow and ice conditions. Two instant-start, 12-volt electric motors provide independent control over a 16-1/2-inch conveyor and corrosion-resistant spinner. The Striker stainless-steel hopper spreader comes in six sizes rang- ing from 7' 1.5 cu yd. to 10' 6 cu yd. Gas and hydraulic options available.
