The in-college program is designed to assist NCSF members 18 and over in completing their bachelor's degrees. Members must have completed one year of undergraduate courses at an accredited college or university. Upon receipt of the application and confirmation of eligibility the following will be sent: Student Biography, Summary of College Education, and References (listed on the application, will be furnished recommendation forms). The in-college scholarships are competitive. Recipients are chosen on the basis of scholastic achievement, character, leadership, service to school and community, and a written essay. Past recipients of four- year NCSF college scholarships or occupational training scholarships are not eligible. Students in their final year of undergraduate study also are not eligible. Occupational Training Scholarship – This program awards two scholarships valued at $500 per year with a maximum of $1,000 awarded over two years. Occupational training scholarships are for programs to provide training for semi-professional occupations in business and industry or programs to provide skilled training. These scholarships are not intended for students seeking a bachelor's degree. Upon receipt of the application and confirmation of eligibility the following will be sent: Student Biography, and References – listed on the application, will be furnished recommendation forms. The occupational training scholarships are competitive. Recipients are chosen on the basis of their character, leadership, service, and a written essay.
