College Scholarship – Ten four-year scholarships valued at $1,000 per year are awarded. The applicants must be high school seniors at the time they apply. A senior is defined as a student who will graduate any time between January 1 and June 30 of the year in which the scholarship is awarded. The college program applies to a four-year course of study at an accredited college or university. It is intended for students pursuing a bachelor's degree. Upon receipt of the application and confirmation of eligibility the following will be sent: Student Biography, Summary of High School Education, and References (listed on the application, will be furnished recommendation forms). The college scholarships are competitive. Recipients are chosen on the basis of scholastic achievement, character, leadership, service to school and community, and a written essay. Certificates must be free of debt to the Society. Deadline – The application must be postmarked no later than November 30. National Catholic Society of Foresters reserves the right to change, suspend, or discontinue these programs as circumstances warrant. Selection of recipients – To implement scholarship selection, the Society appoints an independent committee composed of educators. No officer or member of NCSF has any jurisdiction over the selection of recipients. Decisions of the selection committee will be announced June 1.
