Rather than dilute the waters, so to speak, most trail organizers and members report that inclusion in a multi-beverage trail has had a positive impact on their business in terms of sales and exposure, as well as in the diversity of customers who frequent their tasting rooms. A HIGH TIDE FLOATS ALL BOATS Gerry Barnhart, co-owner of Victory View Vineyard in Schagh- ticoke, N.Y., is in a unique position to gauge the impact of being asso- ciated with both a wine trail and a multi-beverage trail. Victory View was a founding member of the Upper Hudson Valley Wine Trail in 2010 and, in 2014, became a found- ing member of the Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail, which has since grown from 14 to 26 members. Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail lets us provide customer service to both by explaining to them that you can do wine, beer [and spirits] in the same local area on the same day.
