See page 17 for more! EXPLORE MORE! Hiking, Biking and Horseback Riding in TRNP The best experiences in the Park happen outside the car. Marked Easy, Moderate or Strenuous, the 12 hiking trails in the South Unit of the Park range from paved trails with a 10-minute completion (Skyline Vista), to a 45-minute jaunt down a nature trail (Coal Vein Trail) or 10-mile hike through ancient forests (Petrified Forest Loop). No matter which trail you choose, the nature, wildlife and views of the Badlands will inspire you. Get a detailed hiking guide at the South Unit Visitor Center. You'll find information on hiking, horseback trail riding and road-cycling within TRNP. All of the winding roads in the park follow the contours of the Badlands and are open to bicyclists, allowing riders to fully experience the scenery. Off-road cycling is not allowed in the park. Hikers and horseback riders who wish to extend their adventure by camping overnight in backcountry of TRNP need to register at the Visitor Center. #FindYourPark
