The Maah Daah Hey Trail draws people from all over the world to hike, bike and horseback ride in the Badlands. The combined 150-mile Maah Daah Hey, Buffalo Gap and Deuce trails traverse the Badlands, Little Missouri National Grasslands, private land, the North and South Units of Theodore Roosevelt National Park and beyond. This trail is not for the faint of heart, but may be the experience of a lifetime! Mountain bikers flock to the trail all summer, but on August 6 hundreds will converge for the annual Maah Daah 100 — where racers compete in 25, 50, 75 and 100-mile distances to see who will conquer the Maah Daah Hey in a day. Bike rentals and Maah Daah Hey area maps are available at Medora's Dakota Cyclery Mountain Bike Adventures. A variety of guided rides are also available. Call 701-623-4808.
