H ave you ever been gone from home for a few weeks and become a bit depressed when the spouse or kids won't call you for days on end? You begin to question the love of your family because of all the sacrifices you make to give them a better life. e least they could do is call and thank you for all you do. So, you sit in the truck day aer day driving mile aer mile getting more depressed as each day passes. You wish they understood your lonely and stressful life but having their own life to lead as they get older only makes you feel the pain of the lonely road. Maybe you and your spouse are tandem drivers and the cab gets a bit crowded. It seems a bit smaller as the days turn into weeks without a break from the constant bickering and snide remarks meant to get under the skin, while you get angrier and try not to yell or blow a fuse. Aer all, you understand the results of a screaming match. Maybe none of these things apply to you, but you still find yourself going day aer day eating the wrong foods and getting depressed because of constant weight gain or bad health that nags at the back of your mind day aer day, and you wish you could live a better life. ese could be just a few of the beginnings of psychological eating or eating to excess or even just making the wrong choices when dining out. It could be you don't even stop to eat, but just grab snacks to keep you full until the next stop or the end of your day. Grabbing those candy bars, cookies or other snacks is a difficult habit you just can't seem to break. You know they are bad for you, but you keep going back for more. Psychological eating will eventually catch up to you and begin to erode your health, if it has not already. Finding yourself on a scale that continuously moves in the wrong direction or finding clothing that needs to be replaced because the dryer keeps shrinking those darn pants is a difficult situation. We have stopped caring about the foods we choose to eat when we are hungry. We blame circumstances in our lives on making use choose the wrong foods. Everything life throws at us will lead us down the wrong path if we let it. You need to be stronger and start making the right choices everyday if you want to live a better, healthier life. If you start taking responsibility for your life and the choices you make for yourself daily, you will find things will get better. It takes time, but every day you make the right choices is a day closer to a healthier life. Don't dwell on the lives of other people, they will only worry you to the point of exhaustion.
