Scott Moscrip, Founder and Chairman FROM THE DESK OF SCOTT S ince the beginning of Truckstop.com back in 1995, the primary goal of the company was to help others succeed in business by making it easier for them to conduct their business through the help of programs offered by Truckstop.com. Since then, Truckstop.com has grown, but our commitment remains the same in helping others succeed in business. One of those commitments is to make sure Truckstop.com is safer for those using the products and to help you avoid those who might want to take advantage of your business in an unscrupulous manner. Unfortunately, since the very day Truckstop.com began, there were already those who would trawl the Internet looking for ways to bilk money from people trying to make an honest living. Our latest step to make things more safe was to ask our account holders to verify their email addresses. Our Account Safety Initiative matches our active users to their active emails and adds an additional layer of security to their Truckstop.com account and our marketplace. As I said before, since Truckstop.com began in 1995 we have strived to make sure our site is the safest it possibly can be for you and your business. We continually offer such products like CACCI and our Carrier Performance Rating to make your knowledge of those with whom you deal safer. CACCI includes the Carrier Performance Reporting score (Truckstop.com's own proprietary carrier rating system) and gives insurance updates through our Carrier Insurance Verification Services. For carriers, we have programs like CreditStop, which allows you to decide which brokers and shippers are the best fit for your business. CreditStop gives access to Truckstop.com's huge broker and shipper credit databases and lets carriers see credit scores, view days-to-pay information and see how much experience a broker or shipper has. Providing this information is just our way of helping keep the trucking and transportation industry free from predators. By providing information about unacceptable activities, we make the trucking industry a little more transparent. We continually post alerts on our Web page. Many of those alerts come from clients of Truckstop.com. If you are aware of specific scams or fraudulent activities (which haven't yet been reported) we urge you to provide us with the details by sending us an email at security@truckstop.com.
