The Native American Oneida, or "People of the Standing Stone," a name derived from a unique characteristic of the territory they settled on. See the "stone" that stands tall at the Veteran's Memorial located along Highway 54. Feel the calm connection to the earth that the stone has. Explore With a visit to Oneida Nation Museum you will experience the proud heritage of the tribe and see a collection that includes a replica Iroquois longhouse, traditional regalia, beadwork and artifacts. Take home a memento like a pair of moccasins, a corn husk doll or beautiful jewelry from the gift shop. Then head to the Buffalo Overlook. Take your picture with the six-foot bronze buffalo, see the herd and enjoy the countryside. Play Oneida Casino has all the Vegas-style games you love, and an 850-seat high stakes bingo parlor, 3,000 slot machines and poker room all attached to the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center. For golfers, Thornberry Creek at Oneida is the place to be. This is the official course of the Green Bay Packers! All told there are 27 holes, but be sure to look for the famous "G" on the side of the first fairway as you play on the 18-hole Legends Champions Course.
