The L350H, the largest unit in the range, comes with a new pow- ertrain and operator environment. The L350H is powered by a Tier 4 Final D16J engine for high torque at low rpm. Designed with ag- gregates production in mind, the loader has a 9.5-cubic-yard bucket. A new load-sensing hydraulic system works with the drivetrain to increase response times, resulting in cycle times that are up to 5 percent faster. The hydraulic system and drivetrain improve- ments, along with new engine technology, improve fuel efficiency by up to 10 percent over the L350F. Increased clearance between the rear fenders and tires allows for greater access when fitting tire chains. Volvo's Fully Automatic Power Shift (FAPS) system allows for machine operationin the optimal gear and is complemented by an eco-pedalwith a push-back mechanism that engages when engine rpm is about to exceed the most eco- nomic operating range. If full speed is need- ed, the operator can override the eco-pedal. The unit will be available early next year. Volvo Construction Equipment www.volvoce.com Expanded mobile options with wheeled crushers Sandvik expanded its mobile crusher offerings with the launch of the UJ310+ jaw crusher and the UI310+ Prisec impact crusher. Designed specifically for the U.S. market, the UJ310+ offers an economic option for primary crushing. It features a CJ411 jaw crusher and a double-deck vibrating pre-screen. Assembled on a single trailer frame and mounted on a quad axle bo- gie, it is said to be easy to transport via a low loader and quick to set up. The UI310+ offers an impact ver- sion on the quad axle bogie. It features the patented CI512 Prisec impactor and has a double-deck vibrat- ing pre-screen.
