The device records in a continuous loop, based on the size of the memory card, and allows for up to a 32GB SD card. A three-axis shock sensor saves footage recorded following a triggering event, and the replay software shows location, speed and direction for recordings. The app and portal also can track trips and maintenance intervals. Features include loop recording, G-sensor accident protec- tion, advanced parking mode, automatic date/time stamp and lane departure and collision warning systems. The company's Extreme Temp Protection uses a supercapaci- tor to help ensure functionality in harsh conditions. The Dash 2308 iRadar-enhanced model adds smart- phone connectivity to integrate with the iRadar app. The patent-pending technology provides alerts to upcoming speed and red-light cameras, live police locations and cau- tion areas that are updated continuously in real time by other iRadar users. The Dash 2308 also pulls date, time, location and speed data from the smartphone and embeds it into the dashcam's video file. Cobra.com Garmin unit includes alert Garmin's Dash Cam 35 records in high definition and features a collision warning system that alerts the driver when following too closely to a vehicle ahead. The device also alerts the driver about nearby red-light and speed cameras. The Dash Cam 35's incident detection feature automatically saves video footage on impact, and its GPS records where the incident occurred, travel direction and speed.
