Equipment Focus Commercial Walk-behind Mowers BOB-CAT Hydro Z-Control walk-behind The rugged BOB-CAT Hydro walk-behind mower is now available with Z-Control. Similar to commercial zero-turn riding mowers, BOB-CAT's patented Z-Control operation system is easy to use and comfortable to operate. The ergonomic design reduces hand and wrist strain in operation, and the built-in operator present controls make driving the Z-Control much more efficient. Z-Control Hydro models come in 36-, 48- and 54-inch side-discharge fixed DuraDeck cutting decks with an extreme side discharge system. Dual hydraulic pumps feature wheel motors that allow independent power to each wheel for superior control and maneuverability. Powerful Kawasaki FS engines offer the speed to cut up to 6 mph. Exmark Commercial 30 walk-behind The Exmark Commercial 30 walk-behind delivers increased productivity with a 30-inch cut width β€” an increase of 43-percent compared to 21-inch mowers. With maneuverability and balance similar to a Commercial 21-inch mower, the Exmark Commercial 30 allows landscape professionals to cover more ground in less time. The 4.6inch-deep cutting deck features a compact, twin-blade cutting system that delivers a superior quality of cut. Exmark's patented front height adjustment system and single-point rear height adjuster are designed to provide years of durable service. A heavy-duty positive drive transmission offers infinitely variable ground speed up to 4.2 mph. The Kawasaki KAI FJ180V engine includes commercial-specific features such as a cast-iron cylinder liner, dual-element air cleaner and heavy-duty recoil starter. Exmark backs the Commercial 30 with a 1-year commercial warranty. Gravely Pro-Walk mowers Gravely offers the commercial Pro-Walk series of mowers in both gear drive and hydro drive featuring ergonomic Pistol Grip controls. Hydro drive units are also available with ergonomic Pro-Steer controls, which provide greater comfort and ease of operation. The fixed/floating deck on all models provides operator flexibility in mowing styles with a single machine. Built with a durable, 7-gauge steel deck, the newly designed Pro-Walks have a deeper, 5.4-inch cutting chamber and extra-wide discharge tunnel to expel clippings faster and farther without clogging. Each mower features maintenance-free aluminum spindles that do not require greasing, backed by a 2year warranty. Powered by 14.5-, 18.5- or 23-hp. Kawasaki FS engines, the Pro-Walk series mowers are available with recoil or electric start. Height-of-cut adjustments in ΒΌ-inch increments allow operators to deliver precise, manicured landscape appearances. Honda Commercial Mowers The Honda HRC Commercial Series offers 2 models: the self-propelled hydrostatic drive HRC216K3HXA, and push-type HRC216K3PDA. The legendary performance of the HRC Series is enhanced by offering Honda's exclusive MicroCut twin-blade mulching technology. In addition, the push model HRC216K3PDA features Honda's GSV160 overhead cam (OHC) engine, while the self-propelled HRC216K3HXA utilizes Honda's legendary GXV160 engine. Both engines feature all-aluminum construction and a cast-iron cylinder sleeve. Honda HRC lawnmowers are designed with several standard features and benefits, including dome-shaped deck design that facilitates both bagging and mulching while delivering finer clipping particles; offset twin-blade MicroCut System (the only 2-blade 21-inch commercial lawnmower); hydrostatic cruise control shaft drive transmission (HXA model only); front bumper for deck and engine protection; and durable, lightweight NeXite wheels with axle protectors. Husqvarna Hydro Walk-Behind series The Hydro Walk-Behind series, the largest of Husqvarna's walk-behind mowers, features an intuitive pistol-style userface that ensures complete control with minimal hand movement. A Kanzaki tandem-style 10-cc pump with independent Parker wheel motors delivers premium performance for walking or riding behind the mower, and the rugged fixed deck provides the stability and maneuverability to conquer even the most demanding tasks. Balance and weight distribution for hill holding and curb jumping are optimized, and structural components reinforced to provide solid performance over the life of the machine. 6 Landscape and Irrigation April 2013 www.landscapeirrigation.com
