Beloit College A Beloit College education offers students nothing less than the potential to change their lives. Campus life supports the learning environment in a diverse and intimate residential setting where 1,300 undergraduates from 49 states and 39 countries live and learn. Enrollment: 1,300 Student/faculty ratio: 10:1 Admission requirements: Beloit has no absolute secondary school requirements but gives preference to students from a rigorous college preparatory program, which includes at least 20 academic units of study: English (4), world language (2-3), mathematics (3-4), science (4, 3 of laboratory sciences), history or social science (3-4). Beloit requires applicants to submit the results of either the ACT or SAT exam. Applicants planning to major in the natural sciences should complete four years of high school mathematics and be prepared to begin calculus during their first year in college. How AP credits are handled: Up to 8 units of credit from tests such as AP or IB examinations may be applied toward graduation. Degrees offered: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science Other programs: Pre-professional programs in environmental management and forestry, engineering, pre-law, and health professions basketball, cross country, football, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and diving, track and field.
