Ltd., the China-based parent company of Minnesota-based CFMOTO Powersports, treated seven supplier reps to a tour of the Land of 10,000 Lakes in July. In addition to touring Leo's South in Lakeville and Cycle City in Rochester — two CFMOTO dealerships — the visitors learned about the U.S. operations of the behemoth Chinese OEM and took a first drive on new 2014 CFMOTO side-by-sides. He was joined by fellow Hangzhoubased executives Charles Ni (deputy general manager), Xiang yang Zhu (general manager), Zhijie Lin (purchasing manager), Adam Tao (COO) and Eric Fan, CFO of CFMOTO Powersports. ATV CLUB HOPES TO EXPAND TRAIL SYSTEM A new ATV club in New Hampshire, the Kilkenny Trail Riders, has received a state grant to start building a new trail network it hopes to eventually link with the state's sprawling "Ride the Wilds" system that includes more than 1,000 miles of trails in the northern part of the state. According to the Kilkenny Trail Riders website, the group is currently planning the project, which will include fencing, bridges, trail building and signage along the route. Project planners are hoping to provide direct trail access to local businesses along the route. The club is currently seeking individual donations and corporate sponsorship to help purchase signs and trail maintenance equipment to build and support the ongoing project. BENNCHE TO GIVE AWAY TRIP TO COWBOYS GAME Bennche, a Texas-based producer of ATVs, side-by-sides and motorcycles, is hosting a Dallas Cowboys football trip contest. The company, which serves as the official ATV and UTV of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, is giving away a prize package that includes two round-trip airfare tickets, hotel accommodations for two, two tickets to the Sept. 22 Cowboys vs. Rams game and a Bennche Gray Wolf. The contest is hosted on the Dallas Cowboys' website. POLARIS EXPANDS BRUTUS COMMERCIAL LINE Polaris has expanded its commercial vehicle line, Polaris Brutus, to include the Brutus base new model's slide-through access makes it easy for passengers to enter and exit the cab. Also added to the new model is the electric bed lift for the pallet-sized cargo box, which is standard on the Brutus HD and Brutus HDPTO models.
