Lake Express offers special deals for kids, families and motorcyclists CONTINUING TO RECOGNIZE the tight budgets of travelers, the Lake Express this summer is offering programs to make family travel and travel by motorcyclists more eco- nomical. Under the “Kids Ride Free” program, children 17 and under ride free of charge if reservations are booked before May 8. Infants and children under five accompanied by an adult always are free throughout the entire sailing season. Special fares also are available for adults in the prime months of July and August, if they depart on the 6 a.m. sailing from Milwaukee and return on the 11 p.m. sailing from Muskegon. Under the roundtrip specials, two adults and one vehicle pay just $349, while four adult roundtrips and one vehicle cost only $399. Travelers are urged to book early, as only a limited number of discounted slots will be available each day. Motorcycle riders, one of the major groups using the Lake Express each season, will be charged nothing for their bikes during May, June, September and October this year. Sixty Miles.
