German Fest GERMANFEST brings its blend ofmusic, food and Gemütlichkeit toMilwaukee’s beautifulMaier Festival Park (Summerfest grounds) July 28-31. Festgoerswill find “More than BratsUnd Bier,”with OldWorld culturemeeting contemporary fun. Exciting newconcepts this year include: • TheGerman Fest Rock Stagewill have a “Star Club” theme. The stagewill be like the Star Club ofHamburg,Germany, during the 1960s, showcas- ing ”unknown bands” that became household names like The Beatles, Cream,Donovan and The Animals during the ‘60s.AtGerman Fest, bands will be chosen fromonline entries and perform during the festival.
