The current site of Coal Creek Golf Resort has had coal mining activity since the turn of the 19th century. In 1956, Mr. and Mrs. Nordby became owners of Dodds Coal Mining Company and their family still owns and operates the current mine operation. They are also responsible for the reclamation project of the original mine site at Coal Creek Golf Resort. They are very excited about their mens and ladies nights with the ladies playing on Wednesdays from May 21st - August 27th, and the men on Thursdays from May 22nd - August 28th.
