From the new Moonachie, N.J.- based center, SW24 has plans to expand into the residential intru- sion monitoring market. “We’ve got a 25,000-square- foot facility that’s under con- struction right now. It’s an exist- ing space we’ve got that we’re building out,” Stuck said. SW24’s chief tech- nology officer Gene Dellaglio explained the difference between a typical monitoring center and SW24’s vision for the fusion center. “For us, it’s a matter of fusing different technologies and bridging the gap between public and pri- vate entities, between local, municipal, state or federal law enforce- ment and the public sector,” Del- laglio said. SecureWatch24 said it currently has 22,000 cameras communicating through SW24’s NOC (network operations cen- ter) in place in Manhattan and in the triborough area, as well as in New Jersey and southern Connecticut. The company offers access control, guard services, executive protection services and private investigations. There was a sold- out crowd of more than 75 participants this year, up 50 percent from last year, according to Envysion VP of product and marketing Carlos Perez. “There was positive feed- back, overall, from partici- pants,” Perez said. Perez said managed and hosted video product and service providers includ- ing Envysion, Arrowsight, Axis AVHS, Cernium and Secure-i as well as ecosys- tem players from across the space including Sony, Brivo, Siemens, Check- point, EMC, Verint, Radi- ant and Xformity were on hand to drive discussion and learning. “Having attended the summit both this year and last year, I can attest to the outstanding quality of content provided through- out the two days,” Diebold senior advanced dealer accounts manager Steve Crider told Security Sys- tems News. “The sessions focused on timely issues and addressed the challeng- es of delivering successful managed and hosted video solutions and growing that business.” Perez said hot topics of discussion included who the right players to bring managed and hosted ser- vices to market were, as well as specifc industry nomenclature.
