Con- nect the all-gear-driven, 2-wheel tractor to the mower type that best fits the job: A double-reciprocating sickle bar (47- and 59-inch widths) for multi-acre projects; A rotary brush mower (26- and 32-inch widths) for creating second-tier lawn (4-inch height of cut); or A flail mower (24-, 30- and 35-inch widths) for jobs requiring a customized particle size and heights of cut as low as 1/2-inch During the non-mowing season, the power unit can also power snow removal implements, gardening tools, chipper-shredder, and more. BCS america dixie Chopper'S Stryker and purSuit Dixie Chopper is introducing the Stryker stand-on mower and Pursuit walk-behind mower in 2015. The Stryker (pictured) packs a lot of power in a small footprint. It boasts a 26-hp. Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engine and a 48- or 54-inch deck. The Stryker's small footprint allows it to take up less trailer space, and with a versatile design, the operator platform can be flipped up to use the mower as a conventional walk-behind unit for more mowing options. Forged from 7-gauge steel and 14-gauge stainless steel, the Stryker is built for the rigors of heavy-duty commercial mowing. The Pursuit comes equipped with an 18-hp. Briggs & Stratton engine and a 32-, 36- or 44-inch deck. The Pursuit's narrow deck sizes are ideal for commercial cutters that have to mow around tight areas. With dual drive, the Pursuit offers zero-turn maneuverability on select models. A light kit is available for the dual-drive models. dixie Chopper 2015 exmark turf traCer S-SerieS walk-Behind mower Exmark's new Turf Tracer S-Series walk-behind mower has been redesigned to deliver increased overall durability, serviceability and ease of use. Patented Enhanced Control System (ECS) controls reduce operator fatigue, improve ergo- nomics, and deliver precision control. An electric clutch simplifies the deck drive for increased durability and easier service. The new model features a lower center of gravity and nearly 250 fewer components compared to its predecessors. A standard hour meter allows more accurate tracking of maintenance intervals. The mower is available with a 36-, 48- or 52-inch UltraCut Series 3 cutting deck and numerous Kawasaki or Kohler engine options. Exmark Mfg. ferriS fw35CC CommerCial walk-Behind mower The new Ferris FW35CC commercial walk- behind mower was built from the ground up to meet the demands of professional mowing crews. This dual-hydrostatic machine offers powerful engine options paired with 48-, 52- or 61-inch 10-gauge-steel mowing decks and Cen- tralized Control handlebars. "The new controls are ergonomically designed so that operators experience less fatigue," says Bill Shea, vice president of commercial sales for the Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group. "They provide improved hand positioning for maneuvering around trees, fences and other obstacles. They are also more efficient than traditional pistol-grip controls for operators using a sulky attachment." Engine options include a 26-gross-hp. Vanguard 810-cc, a 28-gross-hp. Vanguard 810-cc EFI, a 20.5-gross-hp. Kawasaki FX651V or a 23.5- gross-hp. Kawasaki FX730V. Dual commercial Hydro-Gear ZT-3100 transaxles with 7-inch cooling fans are standard on all models. Ferris, a Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group brand Gravely'S pro-walk hydro lp 48 and pro-StanCe lp 52 Gravely recently introduced the Pro-Walk Hydro LP 48 and the Pro-Stance LP 52 (pictured), rounding out a complete line of Gravely LP (Liquid Petroleum Gas) products. Other Gravely LP-powered products include the Pro-Turn 460 LP and the Pro-Turn 472 LP. Liquid Petroleum Gas, or propane, has several advantages over gasoline and, on average, costs 20- to 30-percent less, accord- ing to Bill Engler, director of commercial sales. "Additionally, some clients value lawn care professionals with a fleet that leaves a smaller carbon footprint, giving those contractors the opportunity to offer a unique value proposition to their customers." Gravely dealers who are EnviroGard certified also have the opportunity to order and install LP conversion kits that can convert a number of Gravely gasoline- powered models to LP. Conversion kits come in 2 parts: factory-produced LP tank brackets from Gravely, and engine conversion kits that are available from EnviroGard after dealers complete certification.
