The ale is 6.4% ABV and 40 IBUs and is brewed at the Cale- donian brewery in Edinburgh. The Newcastle Collaboration Series will continue to roll out throughout 2015 and include partnerships with other European breweries. GENERAL BEAUREGARD DIXIE VODKA General Beauregard Dixie is a new American handcrafted vodka produced in Charleston, SC. The vodka is six times distilled from 100% American corn and is gluten-free. It's available as a straight vodka or in two fl avors (Black Pepper and Mint). UNCLE VAL'S PEPPERED GIN 35 Maple Street Spirits of Sonoma, California has spiced up their portfolio with Uncle Val's Peppered Gin, a new handcrafted gin infused with red peppers, black peppers and pimento. All-natural and gluten-free, Uncle Val's Pep- pered Gin is available nationally for a suggested retail price of $39 for a 750-ml. bottle. CARMEN GRAN RESERVA 2011 This past November, Carmen, Chile's oldest winery, released a new Carmenere to mark the 20th anniversary of Carme- nere's rediscovery. Indeed, for years, the Carmenere grape was mistakenly thought to be Merlot, which it closely resembles, and many people believed Carmenere had simply died out. In November 1994, however, the grape was identifi ed in the Carmen winery estate vineyards by a French grape expert. Featuring the structure of Cabernet Sauvi- gnon and the roundness of Merlot, Carmenere has recently been growing in popularity in the U.S. Imported into the U.S. by Trinchero Family Estates, Carmen Gran Reserva 2011 Carmenere has a suggested retail price of $15. THE MACALLAN RARE CASK Scotland distillery The Macallan has introduced Rare Cask, a ruby-red whisky created to celebrate both spirit and wood, according to the company. The 43% ABV Scotch is available for a suggested retail price of $300 for a 750-ml. bottle. OLD FORESTER BIRTHDAY Brown-Forman has introduced a new Bourbon celebrating founder George Garvin Brown's birthday. The 13th limited edition release, Old Forester Birthday Bourbon was created by Master Distiller Chris Morris from a single day of produc- tion and is vintage-dated. Bottled at 97 proof, the Bourbon will be available for a suggested retail price of $59.99.
