She relayed that her oil company, Boyle Energy, recom- mended that she contact Oil Heat Cares. Her boiler quit working and she didn't have the money in the budget to pay for the replacement. She's a perfect example of what it was envisioned Oil Heat Cares would be about. Through no fault of her own she simply needed someone to care. She is a widow who lost her husband a few years back from Lou Gehrig's disease. She, along with her 16-year-old son, are trying to keep things afloat. She works for the Girl Scouts for the health benefits and is work- ing towards her real estate license. But, there just isn't extra money. She called right before Christmas in tears—the guys from Boyle Energy had installed a new boiler for her. OHC also learned from chapter president Ed Peters, that the chapter will be providing $500 towards her oil bill. Thank you to the Delaware Valley Chapter and all of you that have done a project in 2014. tACO MANUFACtURING FACILItIES CELEBRAtE ExCELLENt SAFEtY RECORD Cranston, R.I.-based Taco, Inc. announced that its manufacturing facilities were rec- ognized for excellent safety performance. "What we're proudest of is our seven-year — or 1,200,000-hours — worked without a lost-time accident at our Fall River plant," said Taco executive VP, commercial divi- sions, Robert E. Lee. Lee explained that a "lost-time" accident equates to a loss (days away from work) of one person for one full day or more due to work related injury. He added that the Fall River facility is where the company's largest pressure ves- sels are constructed. "Very heavy, very large steel products are constructed and assem- bled there, so the potential for serious injury is highest. Yet, for seven full years, we've manufactured there year-round without a lost workday due to injury," he said. pEI pUBLIShES GENERAtOR AND OIL BURNER FUELING DOCUMENt The Petroleum Equipment Institute has published a new recommended prac- tices document entitled Recommended Practices for the Design and Installation of Fueling Systems for Emergency Generators, Stationary Diesel Engines and Oil Burner Systems (PEI/RP1400). The document was written in response to requests from architects, engineers, system operators, regulators, contractors, consultants, end users installing systems and manufacturers of generators and oil burner systems. The purpose of this document is to pro- vide concise and consistent recommended practices for the design and installation of tanks, piping and auxiliary equipment for oil burners and stationary permanent systems that fuel diesel powered engines for pumps and generators. The document was authored by the PEI Generator Fueling System Installation Committee. Tinamarie Smith of JD2 Environmental, Inc., served as committee consultant. Members of the PEI Generator Fueling
