Intrigued by the taste of local Lakefront Brewery's Pumpkin Lager, the creative minds at Great Lakes Distillery used the lager to create awonderful seasonal spirit. Lakefront's Pumpkin Lager is based on a recipe fromThomas Jefferson,madewith real pumpkin and described as the "only pumpkin lager in existence."
The artisans at Great Lakes carefully distill the lager, in their pot still, age it in a combination of newand used Bourbon Barrels (whichmellows the spirit) then bottle it at 90 proof. Bottles are hand dipped in pumpkin orangewax and hand numbered.
