10 March 2015 Landscape and Irrigation www.landscapeirrigation.com INDUSTRY NEWS PLANET partners with Turfgrass Producers International and The Lawn Institute to promote National Lawn Care Month The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is partnering with Turfgrass Producers International (TPI) and The Lawn Institute to promote National Lawn Care Month in April. For years, the industry has celebrated April as National Lawn Care Month. Knowing how important it is to promote lawn care and educate consumers, PLANET has increased the reach of Na- tional Lawn Care Month by creating a toolkit which includes a logo, infographic, photos, a press release, facts and resources, and promotion suggestions that professionals can use in their own client materials. PLANET also promotes National Lawn Care Month on its consumer website www.loveyourlandscape.com and in national consumer media outreach. In order to continue to grow the campaign, PLANET is part- nering with TPI and The Lawn Institute. "We encourage the entire industry to come together to pro- mote National Lawn Care Month," said Sabeena Hickman, CAE, CMP, PLANET CEO. "The partnership with TPI is a great asset because they will lend their expertise to create new tools and re- sources that will help carry the message to an international audi- ence as well." "We are thrilled to be partnering with PLANET to promote National Lawn Care Month in April and broadening the message, both nationally and internationally, of the many environmental and health benefits natural grass lawns have to offer," said Mela- nie Stanton, executive director of TPI and The Lawn Institute. "PLANET has achieved a tremendous amount of awareness with this campaign and anything we can do to better educate con- sumers and provide viable information to key decision-makers will benefit the communities in which we live and the world as a whole." Visit www.landcarenetwork.org/PLANET/National-Lawn-Care- Month.aspx or www.thelawninstitute.org/pages/april-isnational- lawn-care-month/ for free materials to promote National Lawn Care Month.
