WORLD FENCE NEWS • FEBRUARY 2012 • 35 Ocotillo Lumber Sales marks 50th anniversary Ocotillo Lumber Sales, Inc. reached another milestone on June 1, 2011, when it celebrated 50 years in business. The company was founded in 1961 by Del and Naida Ivie as a wholesale distribution facility for wood fence products, servicing the Arizona market. Several years after its inception, Ocotillo expanded its prod- uct lines to include steel, with the ad- dition of chain link weaving machines. Since that time, the company has continued to expand product lines in order to supply the fence and con- struction industry throughout the Southwest. In addition to manufacturing a full line of Vinyl Link, GBW (galvanized before weaving) and PVC chain link fence (3 ⁄8 " –23 ⁄8 " mesh in heights up to 20'), the company produces ornamen- tal iron products, temporary fence pan- els and custom fabricates to order. Ocotillo Lumber Sales distributes many products from major mills, pro- viding components that complement BD Loops portable training package continued from page 16 • How to take advantage of loop phasing for limited space applications and to save the cost of an additional detector. • The importance of using the cor- rect size saw-cut blade to prevent de- tector lock-up and other annoying issues. Anyone interested in presenting the "Everything You Need To Know About Loops" seminar, perhaps at an upcoming table top show, should con- tact BD Loops for more details. BD Loops is currently building display boards that demonstrate how inductance loops work and some ad- vanced concepts such as the benefits of loop phasing. Other topics covered in the BD Loops seminar include: • How inductance loops work and what types of materials they detect. • How to properly phase two loops and save the cost of an additional de- tector. • How to take advantage of loop phasing and all its benefits for limited space applications. • How loop phasing affects differ- ent aspects of vehicle detection, such as sensitivity and detection height. • What types of detectors make it easy to troubleshoot loop systems and configure the detector properly for specific applications.
