tions are increasingly aware of cybersecu-
rity risks and are investing more resourc-
es into reducing these risks. The bad news
is that many of these organizations are
still underestimating the sophistication,
persistence and evasive technology of the
attackers who are targeting them. The
reality is that most organizations need
a continuous view of their entire attack
surface in order to detect a breach quickly
and respond before damage is done."
ENERGI HONORED AS BEST
PLACE TO WORK BY BOSTON
BUSINESS JOURNAL
The Boston Business Journal named En-
ergi a 2015 Best Place to Work. This latest
recognition comes as the company sig-
nificantly grows its workforce in Massa-
chusetts. Energi, a leading provider of risk
management and insurance programs for
the energy industry, now boasts more than
200 employees in the Commonwealth.
This is the second consecutive year that
Energi has been honored as a Best Place to
Work by the BBJ. Energi has also been rec-
ognized three times as a Top Place to Work
by the Boston Globe, and as a Best Place to
Work in Insurance by Business Insurance
Magazine. In January, Energi leased an ad-
ditional 40,000 square feet of office space
for its corporate headquarters to accom-
modate future growth. This year Energi
was ranked #3 in the Medium Category.
As Energi continues to grow, the com-
pany has been heavily recruiting from lo-
cal colleges and creating a positive corpo-
rate culture that focuses on innovation,
collegiality and responsibility. "We began
as a startup more than ten years ago, and
we want to ensure we maintain some of
that culture as we grow," Brian McCarthy,
CEO said. "We want our people to be en-
trepreneurial; to test new ideas that will
grow our market and help our custom-
ers. We also want them to feel like family,
and ensure that everyone is treated with
respect. The commitment of our employ-
ees to that culture has fueled our growth
and success."
Energi employees also drive the com-
pany's philanthropic commitment, which
will see the company and its people con-
tribute nearly $1 million by the end of the
year to a variety of causes, including Best
Buddies International, the Dana Farber
Cancer Institute, the Patriots Founda-
tion, and the George W. Bush Institute.
"At Energi we have created an environ-
ment where people want to come to work
everyday," said Mary Beth Heffernan, vice
president of human resources. "There is a
drive here to produce excellence for our
clients and stakeholders, and that creates
a strong foundation for success."
