HVAC/ HYDRONICS
The Deviator replaces a "switched cad-
cell", Figure 5, and lets you quickly and
easily prime the Riello pump under any
condition. We've shown thousands how
to make this invaluable switch but now it's
available and ready-to-go with no solder-
ing required. The #111 is for priming the
Riello MECTRON, 40 and 40G51 pumps
quickly and easily. It also acts as a basic con-
trol troubleshooting tool.
Used as a priming tool it can overcome problems with:
Overhead lines
Oil safety valves (osv)
Long horizontal lines and vertical lift conditions
All oil de-aerators
The following is from our Firedragon Academy textbook 'The
RIELLO Handbook.' It outlines the proper use of or our #111
Cad-cell Deviator Switch to aid in the priming of a Riello fuel
unit that is air bound.
AIR PURGING OF PUMP SINGLE-PIPE SYSTEMS
Insure that there is an adequate supply of oil available, and that
lines are of proper size and without air or oil leaks—there is a
difference!
Open the bleeder ½ to ¾ turn or install a gauge with adapter
to provide for flow control through the bleeder port, Figure 6.
Figure 6 shows the use of our #223 adapter. If this arrangement
is not available simply use the supplied bleeder and open it only
½ to ¾ turn and place a bleeder hose from the bleeder into a
purging can with enough oil to submerge the end of the hose in
liquid to create a closed system.
1. To start the motor and energize the oil valve only the fol-
lowing method may be used; replace the cad-cell with our #111
Deviator Switch, Figure 7.
