NEW PRODUCTS TurfEx RS7200 Spread-N-Spray TurfEx recently introduced its first self-propelled spreader/sprayer combination unit. The new RS7200 Spread-N-Spray boasts high capacity, superior material application and high-performance handling. It is powered by a 200-cc Honda GX200 engine with a 2:1 ratio gear reducer. Its heavy-duty transmission includes 2 forward gears, plus neutral and reverse. The unit comes with a hand-operated transmission disc brake, as well as a foot-controlled sulky band brake. The large-capacity hopper accommodates 150 pounds, or 3 cubic feet, of material, which can be spread up to 11 feet wide. Additionally, the balanced tank system holds 17 gallons of liquid and contains just 1 fill port for quick, convenient refilling. The sprayer is powered by a 2-gpm pump, and the low-pressure nozzles offer multiple spray patterns to apply liquid up to 11 feet wide. A spot sprayer is also provided for weed-spraying applications. Designed for smooth, safe operation, the machine is well balanced and has a low center of gravity. It easily handles rough or uneven terrain, thanks to the sulky's sealed bearing pivot. A centrally located kill switch and lanyard are added for extra safety. TurfEx, a product division of TrynEx International The DR Lawn Aerator The new self-propelled DR Lawn Aerator pulls 2- to 3-inch plugs of turf, thatch and soil at 4-inch intervals while traveling across the lawn. The aerator is easy to handle and navigate around trees and other obstacles. The holes left behind reduce soil compaction and allow for better absorption of water, fertilizer and nutrients. The result: a healthy root system that pro- duces beautiful, robust turf. Key features of the DR Lawn Aerator are its synchronized cast-iron camshaft and hardened-steel coring tines. Each tine is precisely angled to cleanly extract a 5/8-inch-diameter plug of soil and automatically eject it. The tines literally "walk" the machine across the lawn, making it self propelled. The DR Lawn Aerator sets a comfortable pace of 2.5 mph as soon as the handle is engaged. Manufactured for extended life and smooth operation, the 205-cc Briggs & Strat- ton OHV engine provides 8 foot-pounds torque to the camshaft drive. DR Power Equipment, a division of Country Home Products, Inc. Billy Goat's BC2600 Outback brushcutter Billy Goat is offering nature-taming performance with its new BC2600 Outback brushcutter. The BC2600 boasts a Tuff Torq hydrostatic-drive transmission with enhanced traction control for positive traction on hillsides, a +/-12-degree pivoting deck with a proprietary return-to-neutral feature for smooth passage over uneven terrain, and a 26-inch-wide deck with higher tip speed for improved cut quality. Thick, wide, plow-style handles incorporate easy-access forward and reverse. Blade spindle is reinforced in 4 directions for maximum durability and safety. Wider tractor tires help the machine muscle through uneven terrain. Billy Goat Industries, Inc. 36 OUTDOOR POWER EQUIPMENT www.outdoorpowerequipment.com
