A TLANTIC REGION ENERGY EXPO 2012 OPENS MAY 1 AT THE Atlantic City Convention Center, Atlantic City, NJ and continues through Thursday, May 3. The theme of this year's show is "Understand, embrace and manage the evolu- tion from oil heat to Bioheat®." This year's event highlights a partnership between AREE and Bioheat® and will explore the evolving world of home and build- ing comfort, efficiency and environmental responsibility. AREE is the first industry trade show and convention officially combining traditional fuels with the renewable biodiesel in Bioheat®. AREE12 is also proud to announce participation by ACCA-NJ, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America New Jersey Chapter at the show. This is another step as AREE continues to expand its presence as the premier energy marketing convention and trade show in the Northeast. Last year, the New Jersey Propane Gas Association joined as a participant. The annual convention and trade show will feature more than 250 exhibits, trucks, Marquee Exhibits, seminars and workshops. This year's headquarters hotels are Bally's and Caesar's Atlantic City, located on the Boardwalk and in close proximity to the Convention Center. The annual Hospitality Night will be held Tuesday evening, May 1 at Bally's Atlantic City. More than twenty business programs and seminars will be held beginning on Tuesday, May 1 and continuing through Thursday, May 3. Whether you are a petroleum marketer, HVAC contractor, propane retailer, owner, manager, or employee, there are great programs to choose from. Topics on the agenda include Bioheat, Social Media, Marketing Strategies, IAQ, Customer Service, Energy Audits, NLRB, Asset Management, Changing Supply and more! This year's Keynote Address will be held on Tuesday, May 1 at 3:00pm featuring Michael Rogers, a renowned technology author, pioneer and futurist. Rogers most recently served as futurist-in-residence for The New York Times. He focuses on how companies can think about the future in useful ways. He has served as Newsweek's technology guru and as the vice president of The Washington Post Company's new media division. His pro- gram, "Doing Nothing is Not an Option. Understand, Embrace and Manage evolution from oilheat to Bioheat®," will provide attendees with that "ah-ha" moment when clear thinking and execution help bring positive change. He will challenge attendees to create new ways of doing business. New on the schedule this year are "Fast Track" programs that will be held on Wednesday that provide attendees the opportu- nity to attend several 30 minute programs on a variety of issues. Two special business programs will be held on the trade show floor on Thursday morning. Matt Maleske, Benchmark Corporation, will give a presentation at 10am "Maximizing HVAC Sales, Position Yourself to Close." Then at 11:00am, don't miss Randi Busse, Workforce Development Group, who returns to AREE to give another powerful presentation, "Your Customers are Talking About You!" These programs are open to all attendees. Programming in the convention's Bioheat® business track is provided compliments of the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council and there is no fee to attend these programs. Trade show hours are Wednesday, May 2 from 10:00am – 5:00pm and Thursday, May 3 from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Admission to the trade show is free.
