We are looking forward to starting a new chapter with Julie and are excited about working with her. (Be sure to stop by our booth at Unified to say hello!) In other company news, you may have noticed that we have been add- ing new industries to our conference and trade show mix. Many vintners have ventured into producing other beverages, including craft beer and distilled spirits, and the expansion of V&WM's events reflects that shift. This year, the Midwest Grape & Wine + Craft Brew Conference has a new name, Craft Beverages Unlimited Mid- west, and our eastern show is now called Craft Beverages Unlimited East. If you are a producer of wine and beer or spirits, you will now be able to tap into the best knowledge in those fields at one conference. If you are only thinking about branching out, you could not find a better venue to help you make the decision. If you are planning to keep your focus on wine, the same level of expertise will be available to you at Craft Beverages Unlimited. V&WM has always aimed to serve the needs of our subscribers and event participants on all levels, and we will continue our commitment into 2016, and beyond. Cheers! Robert Merletti Owner/Chairman Happy New Year! It's 2016 and this will be V&WM's 41st year of publish- ing timely, practical articles for and about the North American wine and grapegrowing industries. There are a multitude of ways that your business success can be realized, from the vineyard to the winery to the market- ing department. We want this to be your best year ever, and we're going to do our part to help! We know that as a winery or vine- yard owner or operator, you juggle a host of issues. How can you contain costs of production? How can you get that edge on the market that will grow big profits? Daily, you ask yourself whether each of your professional depart- ments is staying up to the task of being the best. It is our mission to provide the information that will continue to help you achieve your greatest success. As your business continues to grow and change, so does ours. This year will bring new leadership to the magazine, starting with the March- April issue. Our editor-in-chief for the last seven years, Tina Caputo, has decided to move on to other chal- lenges. She could not have left on a higher note! The magazine has come a long way under her guidance, and she has left some pretty big shoes to fill. We send her off with our deepest appreciation and wish her Godspeed in her new ventures. The person filling those shoes will be Julie Fadda Powers. Julie has come to us from NorthBay biz magazine, where she was the publication's top PUBLISHER'S PAGE 2016 Comments? Please e-mail us at feedback@vwmmedia.com.
